1.
Members must present health certificates for current rabies and DHLPP in advance
and/or on
day of show at registration. Show Committee has the right to inspect all dogs
prior to
entry in the show for health and disposition. Bordatella-Kennel Cough
vaccination is highly recommended.
2. Dogs must be
a minimum of 6 months old to enter the show.
3. Female dogs
in season may not participate in the show. If your dog is in season, a
substitute dog will be accepted during show
registration without forfeiting pre-entry
registration money.
4. Exhibitors
should dress according to the Michigan State 4-H Dog Project rules.
5. Exhibitors
may exhibit one dog in each class.
6. A dog may be
shown by only one youth exhibitor and one adult exhibitor in obedience
classes. Other entries are allowed as
exhibition only. Youth are encouraged to choose
the appropriate class for their skill level
instead of staying stagnant in lower classes.
7. Scoring will
be on a point system as suggested by AKC and 4-H Dog Care and Training
Project. WCFO 4-H Junior Freestyle rules
will be followed.
8. In obedience
classes, a dog must have a slip collar (nylon, chain, or leather) and a six
foot leather
or web lead.
9. Judge’s
decisions will be final.
10. All dogs to be
kept on leash or crated except when in the show ring.
11. Any dog or
exhibitor showing excessive aggression, determined by the show officials,
shall be removed from show area and shall not
exhibit.
12. Dogs not
registered for the show will NOT be allowed on the Fairgrounds.
13. Those paying the flat rate to enter
for the day, must still designate specific classes on early registration instead
of waiting until day of show.
