
Member agree to attend 50% of all young Explorers main club meetings. If they are unable to attend, they are required to notify the Key Leader to receive an excused absence; excused absences will be given for school or sports related activities. If the minimum attendance requirements are not met, the participant will not receive 4-H credit and will be required to show in the Open Class at the Van Buren County Youth Fair. New members joining after one-half of the meetings are completed, will be required to attend all meetings for credit. Members can make up meetings by attending Fair or other 4-H related meetings as approved by the Key Leader. If there is a dispute, the Leaders Committee (adult and youth officers) will review the appeal. |
Members agree to complete two community service activities involved with the main Young Explorers 4-H Club. If this is not completed, the participant will not receive 4-H credit and will be required to show in the Open Class at the Van Buren County Youth Fair. |
Members agree to attend project meetings. They will complete an educational activity for each animal they take to Fair. They understand that their leader will review their work and determine if they have met the standards of completion, including attendance. They agree to follow their leaders' decision regarding whether they are prepared to take their project to Fair. If they disagree, they can request a review by the Leaders Committee. |
Members agree to complete the Fair registration forms on time and completely. |
Members agree to pay $10 annually per member for the 4-H membership fee or as a family unit $30 per family maximum. They also agree to pay $5.00 as Club dues per member or $15 per family maximum. Members participating in the booth the following year will receive a $5 per member credit on current dues. |
Members agree to actively participate in the County fundraising activity or pay $20. Dual enrolled members must complete this activity for the Young Explorers Club and their main club. |
Members agree to honor the spirit of 4-H in friendship, community, and health. |
The parents of members agree that as a parent and/or responsible adult, they will stay for riding/training meetings for animal species to assist if needed. |
