VAN BUREN COUNTY FAIR
POULTRY RULES


AGE
All market poultry must be hatched after January 1 of current year or at least 3 months old by Fair. All breed classes must be at least a minimum of 3 months old by July 9th.

ATTIRE
Dress Code: White pants with long-sleeved white shirts, dark pants optional, no blue jeans.

MEDICAL
All poultry entered in the Van Buren County Fair must have a certificate indicating that they are free of pullorum-typhoid within 90 days of the Fair date. There will be a testing and banding clinic. Cost is minimal.

IDENTIFICATION
All poultry must be banded. Banding will be done at a clinic hosted by SMAC.

NOTEBOOKS
Per Young Explorers Rules, each exhibitor must complete an educational project on Poultry Animals. All notebooks to be judged must conform to Van Buren County notebook rules.
