| Rio went to horse heaven on Sunday, September 24, 2006, passing from equine diabetes at the age of 20. Brian Peacock was Rio's loyal owner, friend, and exhibitor. Together, the team competed at open shows and at the Van Buren County Youth Fair, taking each class in stride and setting goals to accomplish together. |
| Rio and Brian were quite a pair and made tremendous leaps and bounds in the show scene, as well as making their gymkhana debut. |
| Rio will be missed by all of the Young Explorers Horse Club and, especially Brian. |
