| Tikiaya (aka: Teekie) had her CGC (Canine Good Citizenship) certification, and was hoping to be a CD (Champion Dog) in Obedience with Mellisa (12 year old) as her junior handler. They had been working together and competed in Van Buren County (Michigan) 4-H. Their first time showing, they won Reserve Champion in Obedience this past July. Tikiaya was also registered in Kalamazoo County, MI as a "Therapuetic Companion Animal". Tikiaya was the most social and supportive dog with emotions as huge as any human's. As a part of the family, she provided us with strength and laughter with her kind and gentle ways. She will be missed. | ||
