Libby Lou was one of 14 puppies born to our coonhound female in June of 2008. Kaylee watched her come into this world. She ended up being her favorite as well.
Louie was Kaylee's shadow. She loved to go horse back riding with her. She even ended up at one of the horse shows because she chased the trailer down the road and wouldn't go home. It was a speed show. Every time Kaylee went out to run Libby would howl as if to cheer her on with the crowd.
She was an excellent camper as well. She was at home in a tent or in Kaylee's big bed. Silly as it may seem Kaylee even took showers with her. Libby was best known for the many shoes she ate in her short life. I think she has eaten 14 different pairs including the family links ladies expensive boots.
Libby left us this April. She was hit by a car one evening. She was let her out to play when we got home and she wandered off. The neighbor found her in his field. When we went to bring her home the guy was crying. He said that she would come over to play with him on occasion. He would really miss her. That was the kind of dog Libby was. She would greet you every morning with a kiss and her doggy voice hello.
