| Belle was a registered Yellow Labrador Retriever. She joined the Massey household in 1992 as a puppy when she was purchased from a farm family in Decatur, Michigan. She was a mother once to a litter of eight, including Lady, Molly, and Nicky K (Leader Dog puppy). |
| Belle was a wonderful dog who has provided years of protection, entertainment, and love to our family. We'll never forget when Katy acccidentally ran her over with the child-size four-wheeler or how she continually jumped the 4' fence in the backyard. She trained Nic well at the Kalamazoo Kennel Club, teaching him every obedience trick she already knew and made him look good as he learned the ropes. |
| Belle was retired from 4-H in 2002 when her age and arthritis made it difficult for her to compete any longer. She passed over to the fetching field on the other side on January 24, 2006. |
